Zambartas’ Pledge to Nature

Sustainability at Zambartas Winery is not a trend, it is a long-term commitment to the land we work with. We already feel the impact of climate change first hand through dryer winters and warmer summers, which affect our yields. On top of that last summer, the fires threatened and damaged some of our vineyards.

We farm all our vineyards organically, with 72% certified organic and 28% in conversion, using cover crops and reduced tilling to support soil health and biodiversity.

We believe in holistic farming, where vineyards are part of a wider ecosystem. Alongside planting trees and fragrant herbs, we planted 800 trees in the Krasochoria region following the 2025 fire.

We also continue our long-term support of BirdLife Cyprus, and are excited to be cooperating with them in an EU funded project starting in 2027. We furthermore participate in the TUI Field to Fork Programme, matching local regenerative framing practises with hotels.

In the winery, we reduce our footprint through solar energy, lighter bottles, water-saving equipment, circular use of grape skins, and in 2025 received ISO 14064 certification for reducing our Scope 1 CO₂ emissions.

These are commitments we continue to build on throughout 2026 and beyond, as sustainability is one of our core values.
